Let’s be honest, we were pretty heartbroken at the end of The Walking Dead Season 3 when Andrea (Laurie Holden) was bitten by Milton and then asked for Rick’s gun so she could commit suicide. We were bummed that such a strong female character had to leave Team Prison, but at least relieved that Michonne (Danai Gurira) was with her in her final moments.

By the time Season 4 picked up, we were months removed from Andrea’s tragic demise, even though Michonne vowed that The Governor (David Morrissey) would pay dearly for his role in her death. But is it possible that her character could return in some way?

When last week’s episode served mainly as a flashback to The Gov. post Woodbury masacre, our timeline got all messed up, and we’ve been warned that flashbacks will be used in Season 4 as a storytelling mechanism. Could we be getting an Andrea flashback soon, back to when the resourceful lady was alive and kicking?

Today, November 21, Laurie Holden (the actress behind Andrea) tweeted a photo of herself in front of The Woodbury Shoppe, a location the show frequently uses when filming. Laurie captioned the photo, “Home Sweet Home”. It sure sounds like she returned to the set to us, but in what capacity? Was she just checking in with her old co-stars, or did she have real reason to be in Senoia, Georgia?

Laurie just tweeted the photo today, (the Woodbury Shoppe shared the snap on Facebook as well) but it’s possible that it was actually taken several months ago when Laurie may have been filming a flashback bit for Season 4. Could she be the special Walking Dead guest on Talking Dead this Sunday, November 24? We sure hope so!

Even if the photo is current, an Andrea flashback is still likely, considering filming of Season 4 reportedly wraps tomorrow. If we don't see her in Episode 6 or 7, there’s a possibility that we could see her the back eight eps.

Of course there’s still the chance that Laurie was just stopping by, maybe even to attend the wrap party for Season 4.

Do you think we’ll see an Andrea flashback, or is she off the show for good?

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
