We’ll readily admit that we shed a tear (OK, maybe several tears!) when Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies) died during childbirth during The Walking Dead Season 3 mid-season finale. The fierce mama sacrificed herself for Baby Judith, and ordered Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) to deliver the wee one via C-section once she knew there was no way both of them would survive. Then, as she turned into a walker, Lori was shot dead by her own son Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs).

It took Lauren a long time to put that intense scene behind her, and even as we head into the Season 4 mid-season finale this Sunday, December 1, we’re still not sure we’re entirely over it either.

But even though Lori is no longer a part of the TWD universe (either in human or ghost form!) actress Sarah Wayne Callies is still very involved with the hit AMC show and its cast. Just last weekend she was spotted at Comic Con in Austin, Texas, alongside Chandler. Also present at the event last Sunday was Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) and Michael Rooker, who played the now-deceased Merle Dixon.

Daily Mail has pictures from the event, showing the actors meeting fans, answering questions, and signing autographs.

As we gear up for another likely death in the Season 4 mid-season finale, it’s nice to know that even the actors behind now-deceased characters are still embraced by the cast.

Are you surprised to see Sarah still palling around with her former cast members? Sound off below!

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
