Yeah, what exactly would Tyreese (Chad Coleman) do if he knew the truth about Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and came face to face with her on The Walking Dead Season 4?

Maybe there was a time when he would've gotten in Carol's face for her decision to kill sick Karen (and David, if he still matters), but would Tyreese ever have really hurt her?

Before Episode 8 aired, Chad Coleman talked to Entertainment Weekly Radio about Tyreese's mental state. He said Tyreese's motivation is now the health of his sister, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and trying to build a better community. "There's a huge bit of unfinished business with what happened to Karen, you know. I think he wants to be completely prepared to be able to handle that."

Will we get to see any more of that unfinished business with Carol? "I don't know yet,” Chad teased. “I would hope so. That's a huge cliffhanger, but it's something that you can probably hang your hat on for throughout the season. I'm sure they'll milk it for all it's worth."

Will he want revenge against Carol? How exactly would that play out? “You know what, I don't know what would happen. ... It's a little bit tricky and different, you know. She is a woman. I just don't know what he would do."

EW's Jenna Morasca, who won Survivor: Amazon, joked that the rules are different in the zombie apocalypse. If someone burns your girlfriend it's OK to slap them around a bit. The boys on the call didn’t even want to touch that.

It's a fair point, though. Is there a double standard? Tyreese punched Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) — that man is taking a beating this season — for doing nothing, but would he be more gentle with Carol? Rick banished her in part to protect her from Tyreese, although it was really because Rick didn't want Carol going rogue with these deadly decisions. It’s hard to imagine Tyreese, even in the heat of the moment, treating Carol the same way.

We've now passed the mid-season finale, and the groups are scattered. Tyreese was last seen running after the kids, including Lizzie Samuels (Brighton Sharbino), who saved him by shooting Alisha in the head. (Scary!)

Tyreese appears to be separated from Sasha, but now that he’s the next in line to be responsible for the Samuels sisters (it’s a revolving door) maybe he’ll bond with them. Maybe he’ll discover that Lizzie is responsible for the rats at the fence, if that’s even what happened. Maybe they’ll run into Carol, and Tyreese and Carol will co-parent the kiddies. Maybe the truth won’t matter as much to him in the end, or maybe he’ll feel incredibly betrayed.

Are you curious to see how the Tyreese/Carol situation is resolved? If Chad said they’d milk it, that suggests we won’t see a quick, easy end to the saga.

The Walking Dead Season 4 returns with Episode 9 at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 9, 2014 on AMC.
