This is what Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) should be crying about — not baby Judith's empty car seat. Judith is probably fine — we'll find out in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 4 — but the Screen Actors Guild should be exiled in the suburbs for snubbing TWD.

Nominations for the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were released today and TWD got one nod, for Stunt Team. Thanks. Thanks for that.

Anyone who actually watches TWD knows it's more than an action show. It's a compelling drama that belongs on any list with Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Homeland and Boardwalk Empire. They were all nominated in the Drama Ensemble category and, honestly, we can think of at least two of those shows whose current or most recent seasons don't deserve honoring above TWD.

Andrew Lincoln also deserves more recognition for his lead role as Rick Grimes. We wanted him to get an Emmy nomination, but it would've been nice for the Screen Actors Guild to recognize his work. Instead, for Drama Actor, they picked the same names we tend to see on all the awards circuits:

Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire

Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad

Jeff Daniels, The Newsroom

Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones

Kevin Spacey, House of Cards

No offense to those guys, but you really have to go out of your way to ignore Andy's powerful journey on TWD to leave him off the list. You couldn't really ask much more from him as the anchor of this emotional show.

Do you think The Walking Dead should’ve been nominated for Drama Ensemble, with Andrew Lincoln nominated for Drama Actor? It’s too late to change what happened, but we could band together and find a tank…

The Walking Dead Season 4 returns on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
