Do you miss Shane? We miss Shane. Jon Bernthal misses Shane too. He was a great character for The Walking Dead — not a true hero or villain, but close to either end, depending on the situation.

Last year, Jon told the L.A. Times he fell in love with the character of Shane and missed playing him. Now he's playing Joe Teague in TNT's Mob City in another collaboration with The Walking Dead's original showrunner, Frank Darabont.

Yahoo TV asked Jon if he's still a fan of The Walking Dead, even after leaving the show during Season 2. "Yeah, absolutely," Jon said. "The cast of that show and the crew of that show are my family and always will be. We still keep in very close contact. I'll always be a fan. It's actually more fun being a fan, because I don't know what's going to happen [laughing]. I dig watching it. I'm doing a movie in England now, so I get to see my friend Andy Lincoln very soon. I'm really looking forward to that."

He said he doesn't ask for spoilers, in fact he avoids them. "When I see Norman [Reedus], when I talk to Norman and Andy, I just say, 'Before we start talking, I don't want to hear a damn thing.' They follow the rules. They know not to mess with me about that!"

He should at least ask what happened to Judith after the Season 4 prison battle, since she may actually be Shane's daughter!

Are you watching Mob City? The story continues on December 11 and 18.

The Walking Dead Season 4 returns on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
