Our friends across the pond won’t have to wait too long to see The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 9.

According to TVWise, the second half of Season 4 will premiere on FOX UK on Monday, February 10, 2014, which is one day after the U.S. return. Zap2it said the 24-hour delay may be the case for the rest of the international audience too.

"We want to prevent the spoilers for sure, we also want to make sure [international viewers] get the best version of the show -- not some pirated version," Fox International Channel chief marketing officer Liz Dolan told TheWrap back in October, when the world-viewing lag time went from a week to a day. "But we also want them to get it super fast."

Earlier this month, TWD producer Gale Anne Hurd talked to The Walker Stalkers about some of the benefits of this two-month break during the season. "As a person involved in producing the show, it's great to have this opportunity to catch our breath,” Gale said, “especially in post-production, it's a very demanding show for post-production and you can certainly fall behind. We have to deliver the show early because it's translated into I think 31 different languages, because it airs across the globe within a week and in many cases within 24 or 48 hours of its premiere in the U.S.”

The U.K. version won’t need any translating; they’ll still get to hear their own British actors using Southern U.S. accents. But it’s good to know international fans won’t have to spend too much time avoiding Twitter or other means of getting spoilers before they see the results themselves. Most of the time the foreign promos share more intel than the U.S. ones, so we’re hoping some country out there posts more stuff for Episode 9 pretty soon…
