Jon Bernthal used to hang out with dirty hot guys who kill zombies, but now he’s with dirty hot guys who kill Nazis. (Aliens next?)

The Walking Dead alum, forever known as Shane, is now filming the action/drama Fury. According to IMDb, the film follows a crew of Americans who embark on a brave mission in Nazi Germany toward the end of World War II.

It looks like it's going to be a pretty big deal, especially with Brad Pitt leading the cast as "Wardaddy." (Think that's what Angie calls him behind the scenes?) The movie also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Jason Isaacs, Xavier Samuel, and even Clint Eastwood's son, Scott Eastwood, who has been grabbing headlines for his pinup looks.

It's an amazingly talented, high-profile and high-testosterone cast — and the best part is that they could take this exact group and go straight into filming Magic Mike 2 afterward.

Fury is written and directed by David Ayer, who also wrote/directed End of Watch and wrote Training Day and S.W.A.T. Director David tweeted some male bonding shots on set, including a couple of photos with badass-looking Jon. One pic reads "Day 55" and the other, the one with Brad, is "Day 56."

We can see this band of brothers in action when Fury hits theaters on November 12, 2014. If The Walking Dead schedule for 2014 matches this year’s, mid-November should be about halfway through the first half of Season 5.

Are you curious about Jon’s latest film? He’s also in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio, which is coming out on Christmas Day. The man is just on fire. We probably shouldn’t emphasize that, though, or maybe other TWD castmates will want to leave the show and follow suit. But it is good to see Jon doing well.

Don’t forget to watch Mob City, his series with Frank Darabont, when it ends its run tonight (Wednesday, December 18) on TNT.

The Walking Dead Season 4 returns on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
