Stuff got a little crazy at the end of The Walking Dead Season 4A, ending with a brutal shootout between Team Prison and The Governor's new crew. Not everyone made it out alive.

Some deaths we know for sure — especially the two major ones. The Governor (David Morrissey) was killed thanks to a team effort between Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), and Lilly Chambler (Audrey Marie Anderson). Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) was beheaded by The Governor. They're gone, and they're not coming back.

But what about everyone else? "Not knowing who's where, and not even knowing whether these characters survived or not — that's really exciting," said creator Robert Kirkman in a Season 4B preview featurette. "Exciting" is one word for it. "Stressful" is another!

Before TWD comes back this Sunday, February 9, let's check in on our heroes and anti-heroes. To find out who's dead, who's alive, and who we’re still wondering about, keep on reading!

Rick Grimes: Alive
We can clearly see Rick in previews for Season 4B, so we know he made it to a second location. We are, however, a little worried — he looks pretty messed up.

Daryl Dixon: Alive
Don't worry, fangirls: we've seen in the previews that Daryl is alive and kicking it with Beth Greene (Emily Kinney).

Judith Grimes: Unknown
The last hint we got of Judith's whereabouts was an empty, bloody baby carrier. It doesn't look good. But hey, she hasn't officially died yet — she wasn't even in the Talking Dead death reel!
Our guess? We'll see her as a baby Walker in Episode 9 or 10, but we won't see her alive again.

Carol Peletier: Alive, Probably
We saw (probably) Carol's hand! It's reaching for her gun! Carol is (likely) coming back, y'all!

Meghan Chambler: Dead
In case you forgot, The Governor's pseudo-adopted, super-adorable daughter Meghan got bitten by a walker while playing in a really weird pile of orange mud. The Governor shot her in the head to keep her from turning.

Lilly Chambler: Unknown
We haven't seen Lilly since she put a bullet in The Governor's head!
Our guess? She's alive, but changed. We're betting she's racked up more of a body count during the midseason.

Tara Chambler: Unknown
We didn't see Tara die in the shootout at the Prison, but she was pretty shaken up when she ran away from the gunfire. We don't see her in any previews, either.
Our guess? She's alive. If you don't mind comic book spoilers, we have some more detailed ideas about where she ended up.

Alisha: Dead
Tara's girlfriend was shot by little Lizzie Samuels (Brighton Sharbino) while attempting to storm the prison. While we're glad Alisha didn't do any further harm to our Team Prison heroes, we are pretty sad that she'll never make good on her pact to meet back up with Tara.

Glenn Rhee: Alive

Glenn (Steven Yeun) is totally alive, as evidenced by Season 4B previews. However, like Daryl and Beth, he's out in the open — at one point lying on a cliff surrounded by walkers.

Maggie Greene: Alive
We see Maggie (Lauren Cohan) in the Season 4B trailers, alive, but she looks pretty upset. At one point, she stares at her engagement ring, which is really stressing us out.

Beth Greene: Alive
As we mentioned up in Daryl Dixonland, Beth is with Daryl — but they're out in the open world. In one preview, we see her backed up against a tree holding a knife. The suspense, it's killing us!

Michonne: Alive
Michonne (Danai Gurira) is alive, but, as far as we can tell from Season 4B trailers, she's alone. Actress Danai Gurira says that she's dealing with the horror of having been right next to Hershel when The Governor partially decapitated him.

Bob Stookey: Alive
We'll get to know Bob ( Lawrence Gilliard Jr) a little better! In the previews, he's walking around with Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green). We're not sure if Tyreese (Chad Coleman) has caught up with them or not.

Tyreese: Alive
Tyreese is up to his ol' walker-hammering tricks in the Season 4B trailers, but it's unclear whether or not he's alone.

Mitch: Dead
In case you forgot about Mitch's fate and somehow not about Mitch all together, The Governor's extremely short-lived replacement right-hand man got killed by an arrow to the chest, straight from Daryl Dixon's crossbow.

Lizzie Samuels: Unknown
Last we saw Lizzie and her little sister Mika Samuels (Kyla Kennedy), they were running away from the prison, with Tyreese following them.
Our Guess? As long as Tyreese is alive, the sisters are alive. There's no way Tyreese would let walkers get past his hammer if he's protecting those two.
