After weeks of walker withdrawal we finally got our fix tonight with a new episode of The Walking Dead. The first installment of 2014 — Season 4, Episode 9: “After” — started off really slowly, but things picked up once we finally got a peek into Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) past: katana, baby boy, and all.
As we’ve been telling you for weeks, the midseason opener centered around Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) with some Michonne sprinkled here and there, but next Sunday’s Episode 10, “Inmates” has us focused on some different members of the now defunct Team Prison.
We’re crossing our fingers that was Michonne knocking at the door at the end of Episode 9, but it looks like we may not get to see that reveal just yet. In the promo for Episode 10, below, we see Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.) together, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) giving us his serious face, Lizzie (Brighton Sharbino), Mika Samuels (Kyla Kenedy) walking on some railroad tracks and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) and Tyreese (Chad Coleman) looking (separately) terrified.
Elsewhere in the promo, Beth tells someone — presumably Daryl — that they aren’t the only survivors, Sasha tells Bob they “cannot split up”, and poor Glenn Rhee(Steven Yeun) is on a ledge above several walkers as he screams Maggie Greene’s (Lauren Cohan) name. Maggie, by the way, cries by herself as she steps over a sea of dead walkers.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
