Though we still haven’t ruled out the possibility of seeing The Governor (David Morrissey) on The Walking Dead in a series of flashbacks, Team Prison (or whatever we should start calling them now) can rest assured that the one-eyed dude is definitely dead. After the all-out war he declared in the midseason finale, Lily Chambler shot him in the head and Michonne (Danai Gurira) finished him off with her katana.

However, one could argue that our group of now-scattered survivors has even more to worry about in the back eight episodes. Without the prison they don’t have security, food, or each other. E! News caught up with Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and she only confirmed our concern. “The fear is there and thriving, for sure," she said. "You're going to be scared.”

But with The Governor long gone will there be a new big bad in the picture soon?

“We have our lips sealed," Sonequa dished, but even that didn’t stop her from giving us this vague tease. "I can say it's going to be very different from what you've seen before, from all the seasons.”

Robert Kirkman has mentioned comic book villain Negan — the leader of The Saviors who has a special place in his heart for a barbed wire-covered bat named Lucille — before, but has said that we likely won’t see him until Season 9, ”, so we doubt Sonequa was talking about him. In fact, it almost sounds like she’s talking about something and not someone. We already dealt with that deadly flu in the first half of the season so we can probably rule out some kind of sickness.

Sonequa continued, "I think there's a lot for this group to deal with. There's going to have to be a new life established, new fights [and] a new struggle to find hope."

And with new villains and threats lurking at every turn, how does Sasha’s portrayer feel knowing that she could be killed off the hit show at any moment? “There's always that question with the show, but it's the nature of the beast," she reasoned. "I think it's great.”

We didn’t see Sasha in Episode 9: “After” and as far as we know she’s still recovering from that aforementioned flu, but we did spot her in the promo for Episode 10: “Inmates,, so she hasn’t left us yet.
