What DOES Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) know at this point? We're up to The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 10, "Inmates," which will cover about a dozen different characters out on the road, if you include Tara (Alanna Masterson) from The Governor’s (David Morrissey) group and those "redshirts" on the prison bus, if any of them even lived. AMC already released a promo and two sneak peek videos, but foreign promos always share the best spoilers. This new one tells us a lot that the others held back. Here are five things we see.
1. Tyreese Is With the Kids
We already knew, or at least suspected this, but the prior promos kept Tyreese (Chad Coleman) separate from Lizzie (Brighton Sharbino) and Mika Samuels (Kyla Kenedy). This one shows Tyreese about to hammer through some trees, and you can see Lizzie behind him. The question remains — do they have Judith? This pic suggests they do!
2. Beth Has Hope
This isn’t exactly a spoiler, since Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) are all over the other promos and sneak peeks. But Beth seems to be very optimistic about their chances, saying, "If you don't have hope, what's the point of living? We can live here for the rest of our lives." We see her and Daryl lying on the ground like they're starring in their own music video. (Beth is going to sing again in the second half, so a music video isn’t out of the question.)
3. Maggie Sobs on the Bus
Not feeling as hopeful is Beth’s big sister Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan). We actually see her in the empty prison bus so 1) she must assume Glenn is dead, hence her sobbing, but 2) where did those people go? Another promo showed bodies outside the bus, so did all those redshirts just die that quickly?
4. Glenn Is Looking Rough at the Prison
He holds up a lantern at one point, so does he go down in the tombs?
5. Tara Is Back ... but Does Glenn Know Who She Is?
At the end of the promo we see Glenn in prison riot gear, standing on the road with Tara. Another promo showed them running out of the prison together. Here, she asks Glenn, "How do you know she ain't dead?" He answers "I don't know." Glenn is not in the know at this point, on several fronts. He may think Maggie is dead (and she thinks the same of him) but Glenn doesn't even know that Hershel is dead. Maggie ushered him onto the bus but she didn't have time to give him the lay of the land. And unless Tara spilled the beans, he won't know that she was the very first Team Governor person to agree to One-Eye Bri’s plan back on Episode 8. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) would know, though. He called Tara out, asking the girl with the ponytail if this — war — was what she wanted. It turns out she didn’t want to fight and she scuttled away from the wreckage, hoping to reconnect with Alisha, who was shot in the forehead by Lizzie. Tara won’t know that, though. There’s so much the characters don’t know about each other.
Do you think Team Prison will accept Tara or turn on her for her role in the battle?
