TV Guide is trying to allay these winter blues by naming television’s top “Should They or Shouldn’t They?” couples, and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) are near the top of the list. Rick and Michonne — or “Richonne” as they are affectionately called by fans — have been a favorite fictional pairing for a while now, and although the badass duo have never taken things to the next level, there’s a chemistry between them that really can’t be denied.

Now that Michonne has reunited with Rick and his son Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), there’s a possibility that we may see them share a romantic moment or two, but it’s probably more likely that they are just focused on survival and finding the rest of Team Prison at this point.

But what were TV Guide’s reasons for a Richonne hookup? “Besides the fact that they're two of the few survivors left in the zombie apocalypse, Michonne and Rick have formed a bond over their strained survival and emotional instability. Plus: The show already killed off Andrea, who is Rick's love interest in the comics.”

The site makes some valid points, but in the interest of playing Devil’s Advocate they also name a reason why Rick and Michonne shouldn’t get together. “We would've rather seen that Andrea and Michonne relationship,” they claim. We agree that Andrea (Laurie Holden) was killed off too soon, but it seems like this is the weaker argument.

Both Danai and Andrew have acknowledged that their characters have chemistry, but another possible pairing recently caught Danai’s attention: Michonne and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus)!

When asked about “Dixonne” Danai said, “It’s cool. Of course we don’t really discuss amongst ourselves what’s happening with our characters, but it is obviously people seeing that there is a great connection that Daryl and Michonne have. So I get that people are seeing that, but whether or not it’s a romantic connection is another story.”
