Hands down the highlight of The Walking Dead Season 4 midseason premiere was the long-awaited glimpse we got into Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) past. We learned that she had a “lover” named Mike, and a toddler son who has since past away.

Season 4, Episode 9 was a rough one for Michonne, but she was reprieved when she tracked down Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and reunited with her “family”.

The trio is in full-on family mode next week as they settle into their house. Even though Michonne seems eager to leave, Rick isn’t so sure he wants to trade in suburbia for the walker-filled woods.

In the sneak peek for Season 4, Episode 11: “Claimed” below, Michonne uncovers a painting of a young girl that was subsequently turned into a painting of a young walker girl. At that moment she sees a door at the end of the hallway and heads towards it. If it’s a child’s room we could be treated to even more Michonne flashbacks, and if Rick sees the bedroom that could get him thinking about baby Judith, who he and Carl still think is dead.

The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
