After the Season 4 midseason premiere of The Walking Dead focused solely on Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) with a little Michonne (Danai Gurira) thrown in, we were eager to check in with the other Team Prison survivors, and thankfully Season 4, Episode 10: “Inmates” did just that.

Episode 11: “Claimed” airs this Sunday (February 23) and will apparently bring us back to the Richonne trio as they play house in suburban Atlanta. E! Online got a sneak peek at this Sunday’s installment and described it as follows: “Michonne and Carl are going to embark on another epic journey together to gather supplies, while a restless Rick tries to gain his strength back at the house. But, like all supply runs in the AMC hit's history, this one is going to be filled with danger and pop-up surprises from undead flesh-hungry walkers.”

We already got the hint that Michonne and Carl would go on a run together thanks to some new photos from “Claimed,” and E!’s synopsis could describe pretty much any episode of TWD, but they also included the worthwhile detail that we’d continue to explore Michonne’s past and it’s “not a happy one.” We’ve heard reports that Michonne tells Carl about her former life, even revealing the name of her son.

E! also chatted with TWD executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, who noted that Michonne’s TV past will differ from her comic book backstory. “Obviously, as with everything in our show, there are changes from what's in the comic book, but it's clearly an element [that we're going to explore],” she said.

And what about Carl? In the midseason premiere alone we watched him flip-flop from not caring if Rick died to realizing he couldn’t live without him, but Gale encourages fans to give him a break. “This is a child who's had to shoot his mother who was going to turn into a walker, and had to shoot Shane, who was like a surrogate father to him," she explained. "Any relationship between a father and a son, especially a son going through puberty and becoming a teenager, is going to be fraught with difficulty. And that's amplified by the fact that they're now separated from the rest of the group, and Rick still isn't in good shape, so I think it's likely that the balance will go back and forth as to who needs who more.”

We know that Carl and Michonne will venture outside of their new house for supplies, but will they start looking for other members of Team Prison yet? Not so fast, says Gale. “What they have to do is put their own safety first. That's paramount at this point,” she reasons. “You always have to weigh what's expedient, what's safe, and what it is you'd really like to do, and that's part of the decision making tree that all of our characters face in the separation.”

However, the promo for this Sunday’s installment does show Rick, Michonne, and Carl on those ever-popular train tracks, so maybe they’re on the move by the end of the hour afterall.

Do you think there’s a chance they could find Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson), who we’re expecting to see with Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt), and Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos)? Tell us your thoughts below!

The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
