Three cheers and one giant can of pudding for The Walking Dead and three of its stars on their 2014 Saturn Awards nominations! The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films just announced the nominations for the 40th annual awards show, which will be held in June in Burbank, CA.

TWD and its stars are nominated in five categories, four under Television and one in Home Entertainment:

1. Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series — against American Horror Story: Coven, The Americans, Dexter, Continuum, and Haven.

2. Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series For Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier) — against Kathy Bates of AHS: Coven, Sarah Carter of Falling Skies, Gwendoline Christie of Game of Thrones, Michelle Fairley of Game of Thrones, and Elizabeth Mitchell of Revolution.

3. Best Guest Star in A Television Series For David Morrissey (The Governor) — against Stephen Collins of Falling Skies, Robert Forster of Breaking Bad, Danny Huston of AHS: Coven, Charlotte Rampling of Dexter, and Gina Torres of Hannibal.

4. Best Performance By a Younger Actor in a Television Series For Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) — against Colin Ford of Under the Dome, Jared Gilmore of Once Upon a Time, Jack Gleeson of Game of Thrones, Connor Jessup of Falling Skies and Mackenzie Lintz of Under the Dome.

5. Best Television Release for The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season — against The Adventures of Superboy: The Complete Third Season; Search: The Complete Series; Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season 3, 4, 5; Under the Dome: Season One; and The White Queen: Season One.

It’s a little bit disappointing to not see Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) on the list for Best Actor in a Television Series, but he’ll get the respect he’s due someday. We just have to be patient. In the meantime, we’re happy for these three actors to be recognized — and so is executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, who tweeted congrats to each one for their “well deserved” nominations. Hear, hear!

Congrats — and good luck — to TWD. We’ll find out who won in June.

The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
