The synopsis for the March 9 ep says, “One group finds a shelter; a group has a realization about protection.” Could Beth be in the shelter in this photo? It looks like she might be in a funeral home. (Hey, they spent a season and a half at a prison, so a funeral home would be an upgrade.) That might be a casket in the background, and perhaps she’s at a music stand. We’re supposed to hear Beth sing again at some point, so that could be what happens around this scene.
The promo for Ep 13 also shows Beth and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) holding hands in a graveyard — maybe they do a little funeral for Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) and the others who died at the prison (including people they just assume to be dead)? That hand-holding shot is during the day, but the promo also hints to a dark side to this storyline. We see Daryl running through the cemetery at night and his voice screams for Beth to run; Beth says she won’t leave him. What’s up with that?
The other storyline this hour seems to be Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan), and AMC’s second photo is of Bob on train tracks. So that at least suggests they may be headed to the Terminus sanctuary that Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Lizzie (Brighton Sharbino), Mika (Kyla Kenedy) Judith, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) all know about.
Will Daryl and Beth also end up on those tracks … together?
Spoil the Dead posted spoiler photos from the Georgia set showing Norman’s Daryl walking down train tracks, which is a good sign, but he’s seen with a gray-haired man who looks like Jeff Kober’s tennis-ball-bouncing “bad” guy from Rick’s Episode 11 house. We know that guy is meant to reappear “when we least expect it,” and we sure weren’t expecting to see him again with Daryl. But is Beth still with Daryl at that point? She wasn’t seen in the photos, so that may hint to something. Those pics were marked November 1. Spoil the Dead also compiled a filming guide, showing that on October 29, Emily and Norman were spotted on the cemetery set, and a fan reported seeing Daryl carrying Beth during filming. Will we see Daryl carrying Beth during the cemetery scenes of “Alone”? If so, what could that mean?
What do you think is coming for Beth and Daryl this week? We were worried about them last week, but they just fought and bonded. Will they still be fine this week or was a prelude to something bad?
The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
