You have no idea how curious we are about what's been happening with Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Lizzie (Brighton Sharbino), Mika (Kyla Kenedy) and baby Judith on The Walking Dead Season 4.
We last saw them on Episode 10 when they were the first group to see the Terminus sign and map. They were skipped over again on Episode 13, but they're back this coming week on Episode 14. (The season ends at Episode 16, so it's about time!)
Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene) talked to Entertainment Weekly Radio about her character's journey on "Alone," and she also teased some good stuff coming up. We haven't seen Maggie since Episode 10, too, and EW asked how she felt about that. Did she initially flip through the scripts and note, "Oh, I'm not in this one..."? Lauren said showrunner Scott Gimple warned them the second half would be more like an indie film, with everyone taking turns telling the story. She likes how that's helped to build anticipation, and it sounds like she's as excited for the Carol/Ty/kids storyline as we are.
"We have another great episode with Chad, who plays Tyreese, and Carol and the kids and stuff," Lauren said. "One of my favorite of the season is coming up. I'm so in anticipation of that 'cause you have to wait to see these characters."
Nice! She said it's hard as a group of actors, because they love working together and you have weeks where you don't see certain people.
Switching gears, EW noted how Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) recently called Maggie his "wife," so ... did we miss the wedding? Lauren said they, on the show, took that to be the wedding. She said maybe it was a missed opportunity to see Hershel preside over the ceremony, but they don't take the time for that kind of thing. If you want someone to be your spouse, just say it!
On that note, we're looking forward to seeing more from our husband Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), but now we're really excited to see what's next for Ty, Carol and the kids. What do you think we’ll see from them? Is Lizzie going to find a way to get even scarier?
The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
