The Walking Dead executive producer and comic book creator Robert Kirkman may have all but put the kibosh on a romance starting up between Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney), but the same can’t be said for Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) — who shared a sweet kiss in Season 4, Episode 13: “Alone.”

There were definitely sparks between those two, and Robert talked to TheWalkingDead.com about the future of their relationship, noting that there is still territory left to be explored. “I could say there’s probably a little bit more of a romantic spark there,” he said comparing Bob and Sasha to Daryl and Beth.

“I think that these are two people that are probably a little bit more open to this, although I think Sasha is seemingly more focused on other things at the moment, as you would be. But yeah, I definitely see a potential for a relationship there.”

Like Robert said, Sasha seems to be in a less jovial place than Bob since he is just happy to be alive with other people and Sasha doesn’t even know if her own brother Tyreese (Chad Coleman) is alive, but since we do know Tyreese is still kicking we can only hope that Sasha will learn that soon enough so she could be more open to starting something with Bob.

Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) have been the only romantic relationship on the show since Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Lori, so it’s about time some other characters got to have some fun. Maggie clearly picked up on the chemistry between Bob and Sasha in “Alone,” and although her romance with Glenn and her quest to find him now has all but driven her mad, it seemed like she supported Sasha and Bob together. After all, her relationship with Glenn may be consuming her right now, but it’s also motivating her to stay alive.
