Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) practically came unhinged in the most recent episode of The Walking Dead as she continued to search for her main man, Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), but it turns out Lauren is pretty fond of Maggie and Glenn's current separation. At least in some ways. Are you shocked? We'll let her explain.

"I'm loving the storyline, because I feel the presence of Glenn so strongly when you're on [Maggie], and I feel the presence of Maggie so strongly when you're on Glenn," she tells MTV News. "This little bridge that people are trying to cross to get back to each other, it creates so much tension. I think without this mission to find each other, we're not going to find out more about these characters. Yes, she's inextricably tied to her husband, but who does she become when she's in search of the thing she really needs?"

Still, while Lauren thinks keeping Maggie and Glenn apart may be good for the story, she doesn't like that these separate stories mean seeing much less of many of her beloved cast members. "We never see each other," she admitted. "It's been great, seeing the finished product; we get to go off on these little capsules and get to know characters that we really haven't gotten to know very intimately yet… But at points in the season, we really missed the camaraderie of mucking it together."

Despite the unfortunate time away from each other, it seems that Lauren and several of her co-workers are truly impressed with Season 4 so far. "It's been a page-turner of an experience with these scripts, with the focus on new characters and going into more philosophical areas. It's been super stimulating," she dished. "It's been nice to stop and ask these questions of, 'Do you get to come back from what you've done? Who are we now?'"

Even though Season 4 is winding down and has only three new episodes left including the season finale on March 30, Lauren hinted that the best is yet to come. "It's my favorite season yet on a million levels," she concluded. "You'll see why."
