You might remember Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) telling Yahoo one episode coming up in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 4 would be "the most controversial episode that we've probably ever been involved in." He also told Entertainment Weekly something similar, saying he couldn't believe they were doing what they were doing.

EW talked to Robert Kirkman in advance of this Sunday's Episode 14: "The Grove," and they said they were starting to think Andy was talking about this very episode. RK answered, "That would definitely be this episode."

Boom. Drop mic.

The March 16 episode follows Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Lizzie (Brighton Sharbino), Mika (Kyla Kenedy) and baby Judith. The previous question from EW asked Robert Kirkman what he could tell us about what happens. "I would say this is a big one,” he answered. “It’s definitely one that people are going to remember and it’s definitely one people are going to talk about. If there is one episode of The Walking Dead that you absolutely had to watch this season, it would be this one. You kind of have to watch all of them, but it’s going to be a big episode. We’re going to catch a lot of people off guard."

Look at him actually give a solid answer about something! Go RK. You're most likely to be caught off guard by this week’s story if you 1) haven't been following spoilers and 2) aren't aware of a potential storyline from the comic books, which Robert writes.

Without getting into too many spoilers, it sounds like The Hunters will not be involved in this particular “most controversial episode,” and maybe they won't even show up at all this season. We may need to revise that expectation, but we'll see.

Are you even more excited to see "The Grove" now?

The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
