Where do we go from here — here being The Walking Dead Season 4 finale? It’s not airing until this Sunday, March 30, but we’re already wondering how we’re going to feel just a week from now. Where will Episode 16 leave us, besides the edge of our seats, desperate for more answers?

Comic book writer/executive producer Robert Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly the second half of Season 4 has been a character defining group of stories for everyone, but it sounds like the main focus of the finale may return to the first guy we met in this world. As RK put it, “but really, Rick Grimes — really finding what this guy is going to be able to do and how he is going to carry on, and is he going to get these people back together, and where is he going to go from here? And I think there are some big questions that are asked that are going to be answered in this final episode.”

Is Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) going to be able to round up our Team Prison people? Where do they go from here? If they don’t stay at Terminus, for any number of reasons, they could hit the road for Washington, D.C. That’s what they do in the comics, so if Rick meets up with Abraham Ford’s (Michael Cudlitz) group and they mention the mission, maybe the ep ends as we hit the road? Or maybe it ends with The Hunters at Terminus? Or maybe it ends at a brand new destination, like Alexandria, VA, although that would be quite a car trip from Georgia? (Abraham’s group does have a van now, although it wouldn’t fit everyone we know…)

A major cliffhanger is coming, and RK is not hiding his delight in the ensuing fan torture. “We’re definitely going to being bringing things to another level,” he told EW. “And the anticipation for the next season after this finale is unfortunately going to be a lot more heightened than it has been between any other season. So it’s going to be a rough summer for Walking Dead fans waiting for us to come back in the fall.” You can practically hear his “Bwahahahaha, suckas!”

Season 3 didn’t end with much of a cliffhanger — just Woodbury people arriving at the prison after Andrea’s slow, annoying death. Season 2 ended with the death of the farm, the birth of The Ricktator and the arrival of Michonne. Season 1 ended with the group leaving the CDC.

How do you predict Season 4 will end? What answers will we get on who’s still alive and with the group? Will everyone we know out there make it to Season 5? Who might not? Will we hit the road and find a new location or stay at Terminus? Any guesses on the final minute of the finale? It’s gotta be something good/bad to keep us on edge until October!

The Walking Dead Season 4 finale airs Sunday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
