Although not everyone preferred the generally slower pace of The Walking Dead Season 4, this outing of the AMC show did succeed in teaching us a great deal about many of our favorite characters. For example, we learned that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) was up to no good before the apocalypse, while pre-apocalypse Michonne (Danai Gurira) had a lover, a son named Andre, and an appreciation for art. Still, it wasn’t possible to examine every character in depth, and one lady that was overlooked was Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green).

Sasha is relatively new to the bunch, and even though she did seemingly start a fling with Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), we actually know very little about what life was like for her before the apocalypse. The only thing we know for sure is that she’s Tyreese’s (Chad Coleman) sister.

Given the fact that most of our group is reunited by now, we don’t think a Sasha-centric hour is in our future — though Sonequa did hint that details about her past will be revealed at some point. Sonequa was one of the many TWD cast members who took part in a preseason finale Twitter Q&A on March 30, and she got plenty of inquiries about what her character’s life was like before the world ended.

When one fan asked if we will see something about Sasha’s past, Sonequa simply replied, “Watch and see…” The actress was slightly more forthcoming when another follower posed the same question a bit later. “Hi! It'll blow your mind!,” Sonequa offered.

Since Sasha wasn’t even in the comics (Tyreese had a daughter instead), we don’t know what the Powers That Be plan to reveal about her character, but Sonequa’s tease certainly piqued our interest! Sonequa didn’t specify that we’d be learning more about Sasha in Season 5, but if she already knows about it we have a feeling all will be revealed sooner rather than later.

What do you think we’ll learn about Sasha’s past in Season 5? Feel free to tell us your thoughts and theories below!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
