As tense as The Walking Dead Season 4 finale was, when Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Michonne (Danai Gurira), and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) reunited with Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson), Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt),  Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos), Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) in that dark train car, we were overcome with joy. Although there were a few members of of core group missing — Carol Peletier, Tyreese, baby Judith and Beth Greene — it was pretty much the reunion we had been waiting eight episodes to see.

Yet, it’s important to note that however joyous that reunion was, we need to remember that our fearless leader Rick doesn’t actually know everyone in that dark train car. He is, of course, acquainted with the former Team Prison members, but Abraham, Eugene, Rositsa, and Tara are all strangers to him. We don’t foresee Papa Grimes taking issue with Abraham’s Army, seeing as they’re knowledgeable and competent, but what about Tara?

Viewers know Tara as The Governor’s (David Morrissey) former pal who was first to support his plan to overtake the prison in the midseason finale, but does Rick recognize her as a traitor? Actress Alanna Masterson posed that question on Twitter as she was watching along with the Season 4 finale on March 30. “Do you guys think Rick recognized Tara? #thewalkingdead @WalkingDead_AMC,” she tweeted.

Her question is an interesting one. From what we can remember, Rick actually got a good look at Tara before The Gov. hopped in his tank and drove it straight into the prison. In fact, we’re pretty sure he even called her out as someone who didn’t look like she was ready to engage in an all-out war. Oh Rick, so astute!

Assuming Rick does know who Tara is (even if he doesn’t we’re betting Glenn will tell him sooner or later) how can we expect him to react to her presence? We know that she at least appears truly sorry for her role in the prison massacre, but Rick doesn’t. Will he take Glenn’s word for it and trust her, or will he insist she find another group and maybe even stay at Terminus? Since Alanna was just promoted to series regular for TWD Season 5 we have a feeling she sticks with Team Prison, but we’re still eager to find out Rick’s take on her.

If you were Rick, would you trust Tara? Vote below!
