Get excited, Walking Dead fan’s because one of Emily Kinney’s latest Instagram posts proves that there is hope yet for lonesome Beth Greene. In case you forgot what happened to Beth, allow us to remind you. Daryl Dixon’s (Norman Reedus) newest pal was seemingly kidnapped in Season 4, Episode 13: “Alone” after the house/funeral home the duo was crashing in was overrun by walkers. Beth ran outside at Daryl’s insistence, and after fighting his way through the walkers he came outside to find a car with a cross on the back speeding away, seemingly with Beth inside.

Poor Daryl was distraught, and we haven’t seen or heard from Beth since, though we do have some thoughts on who took her.Given our neverending questions about Terminus there was also some chatter that Beth could be roasting away on Mary’s grill, but Robert Kirkman and team have all but put that to rest now.

Another hint that Beth is still alive and kicking in Season 5? Emily paid a visit to the TWD writer’s room on April 11, seemingly to go over Beth’s arc for the Season. Woo hoo! She Instagrammed the above photo from their powwow and wrote, “Stopped by #twd writers room today. #strikeapose #newalbumcover.” Danai Gurira (Michonne) had a similar meeting with the creative team earlier this month, and she has since teased that Season 5 is “dire” and “intense.”

Hopefully Emily will share some teases of her own in the near future, but right now we’re just happy to learn that Beth is alive! Granted, the meeting and funny photo don’t confirm that Beth is still breathing, but why would the writers bother setting up a meeting with Emily just to tell her that her character is already six feet under?

Do you think this is a good sign for Beth’s future, or are we reading too much into it? Tell us your own thoughts and theories below!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
