Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) may be hard at work on the set of his upcoming movie, Air, but his Walking Dead co-star Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee) has him beat, seeing as a trailer for his own forthcoming flick has just been released. Steven’s movie is called I Origins, and he co-stars in it alongside Michael Pitt, Brit Marling, and others. Feel free to check out the full theatrical trailer below, but first we’ll tell you what we know about the movie so far.

Per Deadline, I Origins is about a “molecular biologist Dr. Ian Gray (Boardwalk Empire‘s Michael Pitt), who is pursuing his Ph.D. in eye evolution with med student Karen (Brit Marling) as his lab assistant. While Karen is set on giving non-seeing organisms (i.e. worms) a pair of eyes, Dr. Gray only has eyes for Sofi (Astrid Berges-Frisbey), a mysterious beauty who captivates his life. Years later, after her departure, Karen and Dr. Gray make a discovery that jolts their world, sending them to India to validate their theory.

In the film Steven appears as the main character’s friend (check him out around the :57 mark) and though it looks like he doesn’t have a huge role, we’re really psyched for him and the movie, which received the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Mike Cahill (Another Earth) directed feature is set to be released on July 18, 2014, when Stephen will already be hard at work on TWD Season 5. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
