And so it begins again. The Walking Dead Season 5 is officially in production, with the cast arriving in Georgia, and cameras rolling next week.

It’s early days, but it’s never too soon for the kind of general teases the cast and crew dole out every season. Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) gave little tidbits about Season 5 to Entertainment Weekly, but he couldn’t share much. It sounds like he still doesn’t know much himself, since The Powers That Be are vague even to the actors themselves.

But Norman did tell EW, from what he’s heard, Season 5 is “gonna be just completely insane.” He added, “I sort of knew I needed like a good month to rest to jump in. The storyline they’re throwing me is a thousand miles an hour.”

Yes. Showrunner Scott Gimple already said the first eight episodes of the new season will be more action-heavy than the previous eight episodes, which were set on the road in mini groups. There will also be “big twists.” We’re excited for the big twists, and some of that action has to be in Terminus since there’s work to be done to get everybody out of there. Then they have to somehow meet up with Beth Greene (Emily Kinney), Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and baby Judith, wherever they are.

Are you ready for a thousand-mile-an-hour journey through Terminus and whatever’s next after that?

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
