We don’t miss The Governor all that much, but we definitely miss David Morrissey. He was a large — literally, he's 6'3" tall — presence on The Walking Dead through Season 3 and in the first half of Season 4.

David seems like a cool guy in real life, and one of his co-stars, Meyrick Murphy, recently talked about working with him. She played young Meghan, aka Penny 2.0 for Brian, across three episodes of Season 4. They had some great bonding scenes together, and she told The Walking Dead Forums he was very supportive during filming.

"I really love David," she said. "On set, he was like a second father, always looking out for me, making sure I didn’t get overheated — it could get pretty hot out in the Georgia summer heat — making sure I knew about the fake blood and things like that. I was always talking to him about the Beatles. He is just a great guy."

Nice. Meyrick aspires to be an astrophysicist, but in the meantime she has a few other TV and film credits to her name, including a new movie called Chasing Ghosts.

The forum asked for the single most important thing she learned as an actress from her time on TWD. "Oh, that’s tough," she answered. "I think it was when David taught me to cry. (I can’t tell you what he told me. It’s a secret.) That really helped."

What a tease! David should tell everyone that secret, since it can't be easy for all actors — especially young, new ones — to figure out how to cry on cue.

It’s always great to hear how much this cast supports each other. They seem to get along so well, even if they only have a short time with TWD before The Powers That Be kill them off. Oh well. At least dying on this show is a lot of fun!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
