UPDATE: Are you ready? Steven's episode of Drunk History, called "Hawaii," will premiere at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12. Here's the synopsis from Comedy Central: "James Cook 'discovers' Hawaii and parties with the natives, Japanese-American Daniel Inouye fights heroically in World War II, and Eddie Aikau becomes one of the world’s greatest big wave surfers. Featuring Ken Marino, Jason Mantzoukas and Steven Yeun." Steven plays Daniel Inouye, and you can watch a preview of the episode in the video below. It looks great!
OK, not really, but the actor will appear on Season 2 of the Comedy Central show, Drunk History. If you’re not familiar with the show, then allow us to tell you the premise. Drunk History consists of a storyteller (who is actually drunk) who retells a portion of history which is then acted out by a myriad of famous faces. The actors must perform the story exactly as it is being told, which, as you might expect, often has very hilarious results.
Per Entertainment Weekly, Steven is one of the many actors slated to be a part of the Season 2 lineup. Other actors participating in the second season include David Cross, Courteney Cox, Laura Dern, John Lithgow, Johnny Knoxville, Busy Philipps, Emily Deschanel, and Jaleel White.
And who is doing the storytelling, you ask? Last season’s narrators Paget Brewster and Jen Kirkman are expected to return, and joining them will be new storytellers Jonah Ray, Duncan Trussell, Molly McAleer, and Morgan Murphy.
Steven’s turn on Drunk History will be very new for him since, as far as we know, there are no walkers in our history. We can’t wait to see how he does on the show and we’re eager to find out who he’s playing. And hey, if there is any truth to the rumors that Steven’s Glenn will be killed off TWD in Season 5, then maybe he can hope for a future on Drunk History.
Drunk History Season 2 premieres on Comedy Central on July 1 at 10 p.m. ET
