Oh, baby! The Walking Dead Season 5 is now filming and more rumors are popping up, including a potentially interesting one about a sonogram machine.

Here’s the June 7 scoop from The Spoiling Dead Fans:

"Apparently there is a ‘popular AMC show’ that is currently being filmed and are in need of an ‘old model sonogram machine’. While they do not state which show it's for, they do state ‘around Atlanta’ and they will rent the machine for the days needed during the episode filming. A hospital, army tents and now a sonogram machine? Maggie anyone? More as we get it."

Last week they said TWD was setting up to film around an area hospital. We already did an "Is Maggie Pregnant?" story in Season 4, since she does get pregnant eventually in the comics. Then again, this doesn’t definitely specify TWD and the site doesn’t make it clear where they got the information. It was said to be a fan report, but it’s not really an on-set filming scoop, so it’s hard to gauge the validity.

Besides, why would anyone really need a sonogram in the zombie apocalypse, even if they are pregnant? Are they setting it up in that house in Griffin or something, just to tell pregnant Maggie/other that she's having a boy or a girl? Maybe it's to stop her from killing herself, since she did try to kill herself from grief in the comics, although that was just after the prison battle. If Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) does die, though, as another rumor suggests, maybe this is something that helps to keep her going?

Then again, when would Maggie (or anyone in our group) get pregnant, unless there’s a big time jump coming? It’s not like Maggie and Glenn could really get busy in that crowded Terminus train car. That’s even creepier than The Governor and Lilly getting down in front of her sister and daughter. If there was no time jump, it could be someone outside our group that’s pregnant. If there was a time jump, maybe Maggie would fit. It’s hope for her future — and it’s not like TWD didn’t plant seeds for a Gleggie pregnancy in Season 4, with Maggie’s talk about living vs. existing. She wanted a baby. And in the comics, she and Glenn get pregnant before he is killed and she has to raise the baby without him.

Do you think this is a Maggie pregnancy hint or a false alarm? Even if the sonogram is for TWD, it may not necessarily be tied to a pregnancy. There are other uses for a sonogram.

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
