We’ve got The Ricktator himself, plus Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan), Beth Greene (Emily Kinney), Tara (Alanna Masterson), Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and the D.C. mission trio, Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) and Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos).
Heck yes! The katana queen took No. 9 on their list of TV’s 24 Greatest Action Heroes.
Here’s what TV Guide wrote about her:
“Armed with her signature katana, Michonne slices through the undead with vengeful resolve as she helps her ragtag group of survivors fight to stay alive. ‘By definition, an action star kicks ass almost effortlessly and is a master strategist — the kind of person you'd want by your side in the zombie apocalypse,’ says executive producer Gale Anne Hurd. ‘Having produced a number of films with strong female leads, I can say Danai portrays her with a perfect balance of strength and grace.’"
Copy that, chief. It’s another reason why Danai’s name has been coming up as a possible Emmy nominee this year. Fingers crossed that anyone from TWD makes the cut.
Michonne was one of four women to make the top 10 on TV Guide's list — including Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner, Alias) at No. 7, Emma Peel (Diana Rigg, The Avengers) at No. 5, and Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) at No. 2. The only one to top Buffy was Jack Bauer.
Check out the full list here. Do you agree that Michonne was a worthy addition? Should they have included other TWD characters?
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
