It’s frustrating to have to wait until October 12 for The Walking Dead Season 5 to start, but at least we’ll be well-prepared for the new season with tons of updates on the Season 4 discs.

As you may already know, Walking Dead Season 4 will be released on DVD/Blu-ray on Tuesday, August 26. A new press release was just issued with details on the upcoming features, including Blu-ray commentary on "The Grove" from Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) —  who doesn’t usually watch the show at all. He's going to break his streak just to look at the flowers. (He can’t watch himself on screen, but since he’s not even in that episode it doesn’t count.)

Here's the bonus feature breakdown, via JoBlo:

Dread Central also mentioned the tradition of unique McFarlane Toys packaging for the special editions. “Following in the ‘shuffling’ footsteps of Season 2’s ‘Walker Head’ and Season 3’s ‘Walker Aquarium,’ THE WALKING DEAD: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON will be available in a Blu-ray limited edition 'Tree Walker' package. SRP is $79.99 for the Blu-ray + Digital HD with Ultraviolet, $69.98 for the DVD and $129.99 for the Blu-ray limited edition.”

The extra special editions aren’t cheap, but they're worth it. Are you planning to get S4 in one of the home video formats?

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
