Two weeks and one day from today, on July 10, the 2014 Emmy Award nominations will be revealed. The Emmys have never recognized any of the actors on The Walking Dead, but we hope that changes this year.

AMC has put their money where their ratings mouths are with a fresh “For Your Consideration” campaign focused around the tagline “Something Human.” They created several posters featuring characters in scenes from Season 4, including one with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs).

Back on June 14, Chandler tweeted a photo of the Rick/Carl Emmy poster on a billboard, writing, "Fingers crossed for Andy! #Emmys #AndrewLincoln #WalkingDead." Our fingers are crossed for Andy, too, but Chandler is only human himself, so of course he wouldn't mind being nominated in a supporting role.

On June 24, Chandler tweeted a link to CarterMatt.com's Emmys poll listing potential candidates for the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award.

"Vote for me for a possible emmy nomination!" Chandler wrote, and fans turned out in force. There are 15 actors listed in the poll and so far Chandler has more than 83 percent of the vote. That’s impressive!

A fan also shared the poll link on Chandler’s ask.fm page, suggesting he tell people to vote for him. So Chandler wrote, “VOTE FOR ME PLS i probs wont win if i get nominated BUT IF I GET NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY AT 14 THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.” That would be amazing, although he wouldn’t be 14 when he accepted, since he’s turning 15 this Friday, June 27.

Some of Chandler’s fans misunderstood the poll to mean he was actually nominated already, asking how it feels. He replied to one fan, saying, "it hasnt happened yet, but it is a possibility, and for that i am very excited :D."

Good luck to Chandler — and all the TWD stars! Season 4 was a terrific acting showcase for several cast members, and we’ll be so disappointed if the 2014 Emmy Awards don’t recognize at least one performance (but hopefully more than one).

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
