Yasssssss! The Walking Dead slayed last night at the 40th annual Saturn Awards, taking home multiple trophies.

Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier) won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series, Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) won Best Performance By a Younger Actor in a Television Series, the show itself won Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series, and if that wasn't enough, it looks like our own Greg Nicotero also won a special honor called The George Pal Memorial Award.

The only disappointment is that David Morrissey (The Governor), who was nominated as Best Guest Star in a Television Series, lost to Robert Forster in Breaking Bad. But considering all the competition everyone faced in every category, it's wonderful to see TWD recognized.

The 2014 event — presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films — was held June 26 in Burbank, CA. TWD's own Kyla Kenedy (Mika) presented an award, showrunner Scott Gimple was on hand to accept, and Scott Wilson (Hershel Greene) also looked dapper with the group — as you can see in photos below.

Melissa, who looked gorgeous as always, tweeted after the show: "BIG thanks to @SaturnAwards for the very special recognition tonight! Such a wonderful evening of celebration & inspiration :) #TWDFamily."

She also shared a photo of her award, and here it is, along with other pics from the night:

Congrats to all of the winners on what looks like a fun night. Let’s keep this award train rolling with the 2014 Emmys. Those nominations will be revealed July 10. No pressure or anything, but if TWD doesn’t get some nods ... the flowers will be looked at!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
