These characters just cannot catch a break! The Walking Dead Season 5 is now filming in Atlanta. Last week, we were happy to hear that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) were seen shooting together. We then stopped being happy when the report came out that Carol was hit by a station wagon (with a cross on the back) during a scene. Now it looks like Carol and Daryl may have been in a van that drove/was pushed off/ended up falling off a bridge.

You know Dr. Jenner’s ghost is hovering over all of them saying “I told you it would’ve been easier to just opt out.”

The Spoiling Dead Fans has been following the van drop, which seemed to start yesterday (Monday, July 7) and continued into today. They said Melissa and Norman were both on location, but their “dummies” were also on set, in the van. But do the characters manage to escape before it drops or do the characters drop in the van?

Here’s a photo of the dangling van:

Fans also shot footage of the van being dropped in the stunt scene:

YIKES. That’s a scary drop, especially if there's meant to be anyone inside. Wow. Hopefully Carol and Daryl manage to escape and find safety. But if Carol was already hit by a car at this point — or even if the timing is off and she gets hit by the car after this scene — holy moly. What these characters have to do to survive is just beyond.

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
