Everything seems to have a car connection in The Walking Dead Season 5. Not sure why that is.

Anyway, you remember the car Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) got stuck with back in Season 4, Episode 4, “Indifference,” right? Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) took the swanky car and Carol got the leftovers. (See photo above.) When she reconnected with Tyreese (Chad Coleman) and the girls, she said she left the car, and couldn’t go back to the graveyard of the prison to get it.

But last weekend The Spoiling Dead Fans shared some filming photos that show the old car, plus Carol in her Season 4 clothes, and it looks like we might see a flashback to what Carol did after Rick drove away. That could be cool, no?

Here are a couple of TSDFs’ photos and comments:

Good stuff! (A van/bridge scene was recently filmed with Daryl and Carol, in case you were confused by the bridge reference in the Facebook posts.)

If this is indeed a flashback, maybe it’s kind of like how Sasha was when she was briefly alone in Season 4. Sasha found a little loft space (that spot was awesome) then decided she didn’t want to be alone after all. Maybe that’s what Carol did. Carol returned to the prison and said she saw the end of The Governor battle, and the timing of that battle couldn’t have been more than, what, a day or two after Rick left Carol? Was it just one day?

What do you think — is the car connected to a flashback or did they go back to get the car at some point so they would have some transportation in the real-time of Season 5? If it is a flashback, maybe it'll show Carol getting Rick's watch back.

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
