There’s a lot of excitement out there for today’s The Walking Dead Comic-Con panel, but — apart from the big trailer — you know the cast and The Powers That Be won't really share serious spoilers on Season 5. Not like the kind of spoilers sleuthing fans get on the Georgia set during filming.

On that note, The Spoiling Dead Fans is still culling intel from its members on-the-ground, including photo updates to some of the filming done early in July with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). You may recall hearing about the characters shooting scenes in downtown Atlanta, and there was later some kind of a van stunt. Norman even recently said Season 5 (they should be close to filming the mid-season finale at this point) would feature a whole episode focused on Daryl and another character. Filming spoilers suggest it could be Carol, if he means this ATL episode.

Here are some photos from the Daryl/Carol shoot, showing Daryl carrying a covered body, possibly the body of a young child (eek):

Not to get morbid, but … who is the body? It looks too small to be Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), but too big to be baby Judith. It may “just” be another redshirt they come across, or barely known child, since they tend to die off fast on this show. Is it wrong to hope it’s a child we don’t really know, as opposed to one of our featured characters? Maybe that’s cruel, but there it is.

Do you have any theories on the body? This shoot may have been for Episode 6 (or thereabouts), so … if we meet a smallish person early in the season, in the company of Daryl and Carol — don’t get too attached!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October on AMC.
