It's a big ol' emotional rollercoaster for Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) — and Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.) brought it all out. After Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) departed their group, Bob and Sasha had a difference of opinion on how to respond. Bob wanted to follow Maggie to the Sanctuary and look for her, while Sasha said to let Maggie make her choice. Bob accused her of being scared about whether or not she'll find Tyreese (Chad Coleman). Drama!
So it looked like these two were about to go their separate ways, until Bob said, "Can I do something?" — then made the about-to-kiss-someone face. And kissed her. We "ooooh"ed like we were part of Saved By the Bell's live studio audience, until Sasha, alone, took shelter… and started crying.
Of course, crying doesn't mean that she doesn't want to start up a thing with Bob — he helped bring out a ton of stuff besides romantic feelings, for sure. But the same thing that prompted Bob to make a move could be the thing that keeps these two apart! Sasha is carefully-guarded, emotionally, and without Tyreese around she might not be too willing to let someone new get close. Sonequa did tell a fan on Talking Dead that she "received [the kiss] in kindness," though, so that's something!
If these two can make it work, though, we'd love to see a new romance blossom on the show! It's been a while since Glenn and Maggie met on the farm, after all.
Do you want this relationship to continue, or is a new romance a terrible idea? Let us know in the comments!
