Did you miss Andrea (Laurie Holden) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) on The Walking Dead Season 3, Episode 2? You're in luck — they should be front and center on the Sunday, October 28 Episode 3, "Walk with Me," which will be set in the new realm of Woodbury, and also include the return of Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker).
Merle, the racist brother of Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), was last seen minus a hand when Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company left him chained up on a roof in zombie-filled Atlanta. Merle knows Andrea, since they were both part of that early Season 1 group. Will he blame her in any way for being left behind? Maybe they will bond over being left behind, since the group also left her in not-so-great circumstances at the end of Season 2.
An Episode 3 teaser showed a blindfolded Andrea seated in a car next to Merle. “Think of that recipe: Blindfolded with Merle,” Laurie told Access Hollywood. “It’s a great episode. It’s a departure from the show in many ways and I hope fans love it.”
Not only will we get Merle, we're also going to eventually meet the Governor (David Morrissey) of Woodbury. “What I love about his take on The Governor is that he’s not the obvious villain, he’s very charming and seductive,” Laurie said. “You don’t really get that he’s evil. He’s the perfect sociopath. From the outside you think this man is amazing.”
The Governor sounds like another alpha male, like The Ricktator. They probably won't face off anytime soon but we can't wait for the big showdown!
