Define "cast member." Do you think it means the core group on The Walking Dead Season 3 — like Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Carol (Melissa McBride), Hershel (Scott Wilson), Andrea (Laurie Holden), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Beth (Emily Kinney), The Governor (David Morrissey), and Merle (Michael Rooker)?

Or would you add new supporting characters, like Milton (Dallas Roberts) and some of the new folks with Tyreese (Chad Coleman) at the prison? How about someone we haven't even seen yet this season?

Just asking because TWD special effects guru/producer Greg Nicotero told reporters (via The Hollywood Reporter), "We've established a certain scenario on our show where nobody is safe — and certainly in the back-half of [Season 3], it doesn't get easy for anybody. We have the whole Woodbury community with The Governor and our principal cast. We'll probably end our season minus a cast member or two."

There's no probably — the season is in the can, so he knows if it's one, two, three, or more.

Who do you think might be up for death watch? Merle, perhaps? It feels like he might not really have a place anymore with Team Prison or Team Woodbury, so what's he going to do — head for the coast that no one actually makes it to? What about Hershel and his one leg? Beth, who seems vulnerable? Baby Judith, who seems even more vulnerable? Andrea, who could be on a path to redemption, just in time to die? The Governor? They keep saying "nobody is safe," but Rick is safe, right? What about Glenn or Maggie? Daryl — they wouldn't dare kill Daryl, right?

If they are counting old faces who return, perhaps they are including Morgan — who was last seen on Season 1 when he saved the bewildered post-hospital Rick. Rick tried to contact Morgan via walkie-talkie, but we're supposed to actually see Morgan later this season. But he may not be rejoining the group on a long-term basis. We'll find out.

We have eight episodes left, starting Sunday, February 10 on AMC. What are your theories on who dies by the end of Season 3? Whose death would be most crushing to you?
