Well, they warned us we were in for a time jump!
In early April, The Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd talked to IGN about the time jump we could expect from the Season 3 finale to the Season 4 premiere. "Every season, yes, there will more than likely be a passage of time," she said. "It’s unlikely to follow directly after the end of this episode."
Well, Season 4 officially started filming this week, and a fan asked TVLine about the new season's timeline. Here’s the site’s scoop "I’m hearing there will be a somewhat significant time jump (hint: more than three months but less than a year)."
So it sounds a bit like the time jump between Seasons 2 and 3, which was about seven or eight months, making Lori really pregnant when the show returned.
We’re not too fond of this newest time jump because we were looking forward to watching the awkward getting-to-know-you session between Team Prison and the former Team Woodbury people who just got bused into the prison on the Season 3 finale. (How many of them will Carl accidentally shoot with his itchy trigger finger?)
Are you excited about the potential of a significant time jump, or do you wish they would just pick up where they left off?
