Real soon, and it's going to be particularly bloody.

There are 16 episodes to The Walking Dead Season 3. The first eight ran from October to December 2012. The second half started on February 10 and will end with Episode 16, "Welcome to the Tombs," on March 31. (Same day as the Game of Thrones Season 3 premiere on HBO, if you care.)

Here's the official synopsis: "Rick and the others consider the defense of the prison as the Governor's impending attack looms." We also have a full rundown of what to expect on the third season ender. Rumor has it 20-plus characters will pay the ultimate price.

What's going on with Season 4? Read some speculation about that here — and cross your fingers for even more than 16 episodes! They keep raising the number each season, so why not?
