UPDATE: Yep, the show will return on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 9 p.m. on AMC. They announced it on Talking Dead. Mark your calendars now! Also, Talking Dead will now air directly after TWD, instead of at 11 p.m., after the encore episode. And Talking Dead will be a full hour instead of just half an hour. Great news! But we still have to wait until February.
We're now at the end of the first half of The Walking Dead Season 3. Thankfully, this is a longer-than-usual season. Season 1 had six episodes. Season 2 had 13 episodes. Season 3 has 16, with the first eight finishing up on Sunday, December 2 with Episode 8, "Made to Suffer."
That's the midseason finale. Then we take a break for a couple of cold months, only to return in February 2013. An exact start date has yet to be released. They split Season 2 as well, with the second section starting on February 12, 2012. It's possible AMC will do something similar in 2013, perhaps having the show return on Sunday, February 10 or Sunday, February 17. We'll have to wait a bit for something solid, but best just leave February wide open for more drama from Rick's prison group and The Governor's Woodbury.
And let’s hope TWD Season 4 ends up with 20 episodes. We need more!
