Walmart Wants Your Daughter to Be a ‘Naughty Leopard’ For Halloween
There’s nothing quite like Halloween costume shopping at Walmart. The kids get so excited deciding which scary animal they should be or what fun fantasy creature they could embody for the most fun and spooky holiday of the year, and parents fear the numbers on the price tag. Well, the superstore just gave parents one more thing to worry about: sexy kid costumes.
We never thought we’d ever have to write “sexy” and “kid” in the same sentence, but thanks to the newNaughty Leopard costume (that, ironically enough, looks nothing like a cat, save for the ears on the headband), young girls can get a head start on their collection of unsavory costumes that they’ll continue to be inspired by through college.
A concerned shopper posted this image of the interesting costume find to The Consumerist. The costume is not naughty, however, nor is it sexy at all. It’s just a simple black tulle dress with a lace-up bodice and pink fringe with leopard spots. It’s not even brown! Did the manufacturer think it was naughty because they used black and pink?
Never mind that. What made them think that it was ever appropriate to call a toddler’s outfit naughty? We also wonder what genius at Walmart supported the sale of this unfairly named monstrosity? We hope they change the name or remove it from their shelves.
Would you ever buy this for your kid, considering that it seems to be an innocent enough dress?
