Paul Wesley Wants to Work For Wikileaks — But What About The Vampire Diaries?

The cast of Vampire Diaries keeps pretty professionally busy with their 10-month shooting schedule, but Paul Wesley (Stefan) opened up about another career ambition he has. What did he tell WCCB News about his desire to be an investigative journalist?

When asked about a quote he had once given concerning his desire to be an investigative journalist, Paul opened up: “I don’t even know what an investigative journalist is, I just think it sounds exciting,” he said, a hint of humor in his voice. “Going and uncovering things and then writing about it, you know. Maybe I would have been like a Julian Assange. Like a Wikileaks guy.”

High ambitions, indeed, Mr. Wesley. We could totally see Paul working it as an investigative journalist. Too bad he doesn’t have Stefan’s powers of compulsion — just imagine the high-level cover-ups he could blow! For the record, we would watch that spin-off: Stefan Salvatore: Investigative Reporter.

If Pauls’ back-up career falls through, we think he should make his back-up, back-up career a Vanilla Ice impersonator and/or hip-hop artist. Have you seen the video of him breaking out in “Ice Ice Baby.” Basically, we think Paul would still survive financially if banned from the acting world.

Catch the next episode of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, December 5 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW, followed by an all-new episode of Reign.
