X Factor 2013: Watch Four Chair Challenge Performances, Day 2
Ooohweee! It was a bloodbath on The X Factor 2013 on October 2 when the judges whittled down 10 talented Over 25s into four tip-top contestants ready for live shows, and tonight’s going to be no different. Though we met the first few ladies competing for a coveted chair in the eliminations round, it’s only made us feel more attached to them.
So, which girls will get a seat — and, more importantly, which ones will keep it? Watch all of their performances here, be the judge, and tell us your version of the verdict: Did the right girls stay to play, or should some of them have gotten the boot?
Simone Torres, 19, sings Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come"
Demi asks Simone to take a seat, ousting Bree Randall, who had earned a spot the previous night.
Danielle Geimer, 15, sings Ray Charles's "Georgia on My Mind"
Just moments after seating Simone, Demi dismisses her, in order to keep Dani in the competition.
Rylie Brown, 16, sings Jessica Simpson's "Angels"
Demi says she's not ready for the competition and sends her home.
Primrose Martin sings Michael Jackson's "Blame it on the Boogie"
Simon calls her performance "dreadful," and it's clear she's on her way out. Primrose starts singing another song in a last ditch effort to prove her worth. Demi says that, aside from her poor performance, she comes off as too confident and "rubs her the wrong way." Primrose begs and pleads, but Demi sends her packing.
Rion Paige, 13, sings Rascall Flatts' "I Won't Let Go"
The judges are again awed by the maturity of Rion's voice and her amazing spirit. Demi calls her an "incredible, special girl" and says she can't let her go. In order to keep Rion in the competition, Demi sends Ashly Williams home.
Ellona Santiago, 16, sings "Clarity" by Zedd (featuring Foxes)
Demi says she doesn't see that star quality yet in Ellona, and can't see her team without any of the four girls on stage. However, Simon goes to bat for Ellona, saying, "I think this girl is one of the better singers." Ellona pleads with Demi, who turns to Paulina and Kelly for advice. Finally, Demi can't ignore the crowd's cheers for Ellona and gives her a seat. Unfortunately, that means Demi must send someone else home. Jamie Pineda is unseated and Demi's final four is complete.
