Watch Dianna Agron Behind the Scenes of Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One” Music Video

We were thrilled when one of music’s biggest stars, British crooner Sam Smith, enlisted Glee actress Dianna Agron (Quinn) to star in his moving and stunningly shot music video for his song “I’m Not the Only One,” the first single after the release of his album, In the Lonely Hour.

Not only were we psyched for Dianna because we know she’s a big fan of Sam’s music, but after that little tease he posted, we couldn’t wait to see our girl in action, especially since Glee has featured a lot less Quinn lately.

If you haven’t seen the video itself — a moving look at a wife (played by Dianna) who has a breakdown after realizing that her husband is cheating on her — then we highly recommend you give it a view, but if you have seen it and are craving even more, then you’re in luck!

Last week a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video was posted to Sam’s Vevo page, and we’re happy to report that it features even more of one of our favorite Glee gals, as well as some interesting information about the shoot and song that inspired it.

Looking to create something “magical” with the video, which was shot in Los Angeles, Sam says he was “gifted” with Dianna and The Mindy Project’s Chris Messina, who plays her cheating hubby. “I’m a huge fan of both of them,” he revealed. “I thought I had my dream team around me.”

As Sam details the shoot, we see footage of Dianna, Chris, and others laughing and fooling around on set. As always, our girl looks flawless, and we especially love that the video features her wearing an elegant white dress.

“I wanted it to be really iconic but 2014 still,” Sam explains of the video. “So what I tried to do is keep it quite timeless. Even though Dianna is in these dresses, which housewives wouldn’t necessarily wear nowadays, I still think there’s a modern edge to it, which I love.”

Ultimately Sam declares that he wants the video to “bring the song to life a bit more” and “strike a nerve with a certain group of people,” which we certainly think it did thanks to his work and that of the cast.
