Watch Emma Stone and Bill Murray’s Surprise For the Troops Stationed in Hawaii! (VIDEO)
The wonderful duo that is Emma Stone and Bill Murray took the time to surprise a group of very deserving people this week: the troops stationed in Hawaii.
Emma and Bill appeared on stage and made us all super nostalgic for Zombieland at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam’s annual Tower Lighting and surprised the thousands of military personnel who were at the event — complete with Santa hats and leis.
Why were they there? They’re in the midst of filming a yet-to-be-titled Cameron Crowe film at the base, and since everyone there has been so good to them, they wanted to give back to thank them for their hospitality.
“We are so honored to be here tonight to light up the tree,” Emma said when she and Bill took the stage. “The fifteenth wing and the Pacific Air Forces have been so great to us while we’ve been shooting on Hickam field, so thank you for your flexibility and your teamwork and your support, because we’re having the best time.”
“We’ve got a special surprise — there’s a bonus package for tonight. Emma is gonna reward someone for their good behavior all year,” Bill joked.
If we were going to be surprised by anyone, we’d pick these two. And possibly also Ellen, if she is going to show up with one of those giant checks.
