On March 3, singer Clarissa Serna took The Voice stage to belt out The Cranberries’s hit tune “Zombie”. The 27-year-old rocker works for her parents in Texas, but her passion is singing. Adam Levine initially pushed his button for the singer, followed by Shakira who did her famous “air drums” which means that she’s definitely invested. Moments later Blake Shelton pushed his button for the singer, while Usher came in at the last second.
All four coaches went in for the kill, with Usher noting that he waited to push his button to “savor the moment,” while Blake Shelton shot him down by saying he couldn’t make up his mind. Shakira outright demanded that Clarissa join her team, while Adam noted that he was the first person to acknowledge her talent.
When it was time for the Corpus Christi native to pick a choice, she ultimately decided to go with her “Latina soul sister” Shakira.
