On April 14, Team Adam Levine singer Delvin Choice gave a rousing performance of “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. Delvin chose the song as he felt Al Green represented the kind of R&B/Soul singer that he wants to become.

During rehearsals, Delvin had a couple of problems with his pitch and his dynamic sound, but after a few adjustments by coach Adam, Delvin was able to take the stage with a stripped down version of the classic hit that had the audience clapping their hands.

Blake Shelton told Delvin that he came leaps and bounds in the competition, while Usher said there wasn’t a more unique voice than Delvin’s voice. He called Delvin a “threat” because of his voice’s ability to do just about anything. Shakira called Delvin’s performance “delicious,” stating that it took her on a ride from beginning to end.

Adam critiqued his artist by stating that he is by far the only contestant who went from a no-chair turn to a four-chair turn and has consistently grabbed the coaches attentions from his entry into the competition. Adam went on to say that he thought Delvin’s voice was one of the strongest on the show, and Delvin made his team the team to beat this year.
