Real Housewives of New York Is Finally Back: Watch the New Extended Trailer for Season 6! (VIDEO)

A year hiatus is pretty much unheard of for any of the Bravo reality franchises, but that’s what fans of The Real Housewives of New York have been subjected to since Season 5 came to an end several months ago. But the wait is over, as the cable network has just released an extended trailer for the new season, and we’ve got three words for ya: tears, tears, and more tears!

The Big Apple ladies sure are emotional this season. Whether they’re loving or fighting — with their husbands or each other — they’ve gone all open-heart on us this season.. for better, or for worse.

We see a softer side of the usually brusque Ramona Singer in the trailer, who is shown welling up while sending daughter Avery off to college. “It’s good to cry,” she says through sobs. Not to be outdone, Heather Thomson and Sonja Morgan also get in on the cry action in this preview as well. What’s the damage, ladies?

It’s not all tears for the Manhattanites though. The normally uptight gals grew some brass balls over the break. In one particularly heated exchange, Heather is seen shouting “Don’t tell me anything, motherf—ker!” at Aviva. We’d expect this out of our girls in New Jersey, but not from these Upper East Side sisters! “Did you learn that in prison?” Aviva snaps back.

The trailer culminates with a fight so intense, Aviva literally loses her prosthetic leg! Seriously, we see it abandoned on the floor, detached from her body. It just got real, kids.

And that’s not all: there’s “glamping”, drag parades, a doggy funeral (?!), a new Housewife (Kristin Taekman), and lots more to look forward to. Can we just start this thing already, please!

Real Housewives of New York premieres March 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
